Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how inboundOS collects, uses, shares, and protects information when people request local services, communicate with us, or use the inboundOS platform.
1. Information We Collect
Contact Information. We may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, service address or ZIP code, and account identifiers.
Service Request Information. When you ask for local service, we may collect descriptions of the work, property and access details, timing, photos, files, preferences, answers to follow-up questions, and information you provide during calls, texts, or emails.
Provider and Account Information. For local service businesses, we may collect service areas, capabilities, team members, licensing or insurance information, marketplace activity, estimates, customer records, lead purchases, subscription information, and other workspace data.
Usage and Device Information. We may collect IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, advertising and campaign parameters, cookies, experiment assignments, and interactions with our websites and applications.
Payment Information. Payment-card information is collected and processed by our payment processor. We receive transaction details such as the amount, status, and billing identifiers, but do not store full payment-card numbers.
2. How We Use Information
- Receive, enrich, route, and respond to local service requests.
- Contact requesters, verify contact information, ask follow-up questions, and help local businesses understand requested work.
- Operate provider workspaces, marketplace access, lead listings, purchases, subscriptions, customer management, estimates, and related services.
- Personalize and improve our websites, forms, communications, matching, products, and marketing.
- Measure advertising, attribution, conversion, and product experiments.
- Protect users, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, enforce our terms, and comply with law.
3. Calls and Text Messages
When you provide a phone number and consent to calls or texts, inboundOS and an available local service provider may contact you about the service request you submitted. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may reply STOP to a text message to opt out of further texts from that sender, and reply HELP for help.
We may use automated systems and artificial intelligence to ask follow-up questions, summarize the conversation, and organize service-request details. Communications may be retained with the related customer, company, provider, or lead record.
4. How We Share Information
We may share service-request and contact information with local service businesses so they can evaluate, quote, schedule, or perform the requested work. Those businesses are independent and are responsible for their own privacy practices after receiving information lawfully provided to them.
We may also share information with vendors that provide hosting, storage, authentication, payments, analytics, communications, mapping, artificial intelligence, security, and operational support; with professional advisers; when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not provide customer contact information to providers for unrelated marketing before an authorized lead purchase or other valid access grant.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep services working, remember preferences and experiment assignments, understand use, measure advertising campaigns, and improve conversion. Advertising links may include identifiers or campaign parameters that let us connect a visit with an advertisement and a submitted request.
Your browser may let you block or delete cookies. Some essential features may not work correctly without them. Where required, we will provide additional choices for non-essential technologies.
6. Data Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, preserve business and communication records, honor opt-outs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and relationship.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions and our need to preserve security, transaction, opt-out, and dispute records. Account users can update certain information in the platform. You may unsubscribe from marketing email through its unsubscribe link and opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights and may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision.
8. Children and United States Processing
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. inboundOS is operated in the United States, and information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
9. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. The updated policy will state its effective date, and material changes will be communicated through a reasonable method. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
